Ran DUAN is a registered Acupuncturist in Nova Scotia and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)Physician in China. Ran graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in acupuncture, moxibustion and tuina massage, and is a member of the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia (ATCMANS). He worked in Chinese hospitals and clinics for more than 10 years and has treated more than 100,000 cases. He studied Emei Qigong and philosophies from Grandmaster of the Emei Linji Zong - Fu Weizhong. He also apprenticed to study from Masters An Chunru -- Ren Yuheng (Expert of the Official Medical Team of the Chinese Mission of the Athens Olympic Games and the Beijing Olympic Games, Professor of the Sports Science Institute of the General Administration of Sport of China). Ran has extensive experience practicing theories and techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) orthopedics and bone setting tuina massage. His concept of treatment is "Free up the body from pains and restricted movements, strengthen body mobility and vitality”.
His areas of specialization include:diagnosis and TCM treatment of common orthopedic diseases, spine related diseases, various cervical spondylosis, the non-pharmacological conservative treatment of lumbar disc herniation, knee joint osteoarthritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, and acute and chronic ankle injury, as well as sports therapy.
